Associate Professor Dan Dwyer’s research focuses on athlete performance, injury, and decision-making in elite sport environments. His work integrates sport science, data analytics, and applied research to better understand the characteristics of optimal performance. His research aims to inform evidence-based strategies that protect athlete welfare while optimising performance outcomes. Alongside his academic contributions, Dan collaborates closely with professional sporting organisations, contributing insights that support coaching, performance analysis, and athlete monitoring. He is committed to translating complex data into practical tools that enhance decision-making in high pressure environments. Dan’s work reflects a broader dedication to improving athlete health and advancing the scientific foundations of elite sport.
