BIO
Prof. Nic James is a one of the leading authority in sports performance analysis with extensive experience in both academia and elite sport. He has published over 7,800 citations (h-index 41) and has worked with professional football clubs, Olympic and Paralympic teams, and national squads in football, rugby union and squash.
He has played a key role in developing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in performance analysis and currently serves as Chair of the International Society of Performance Analysis of Sport (ISPAS). His research focuses on understanding performance to inform applied practice using advanced statistical and analytical methods.
